Personal launch is ideal for those with their own equipment wanting to launch and enjoy the area's most picturesque reservoir. You can get out and enjoy the water, whether you're windsurfing or sailing out in the main reservoir or exploring on your SUP or kayak in the paddlesports bay, its a great way to spend the day or even a week. 

All launch fees include Car Parking 

Please note due to a new ANPR parking system onsite you will need to log your car registration number at reception for parking to be included in your launch fee. You must check in at reception to sign on before unloading. Launch car park closes 30 min after water shuts, you can relocate your vehicle to the main car park

All water users must have their own Buoyancy aid and/or a harness for windsurfing and wear it at all times while afloat 

Third Party Public Liability Insurance is required when launching your own craft (see below for more info).

Launching is only available during watersports opening times

Safety cover is available during opening time for those who are in danger.

Dogs are not allowed on any craft or in the water.

All craft must be used within the manufacturers specifications.

All paddlesports must stay within the yellow buoys.

No sailing or windsurfing past the large red buoys. 

Launch of powered craft is NOT permitted.

Wetsuits / Dry-suits are mandatory from November - March  

All islands are nature reserves and you are not permitted to land on them.

We would advise all users to wear footwear. 

No BBQ or open flames are permitted on site

Sit on Tops, Kayaks, Open Canoes and Stand Up Paddleboards are welcome.

All paddlesports are restricted to the bay area (within yellow buoys)

Please make sure you bring all your own equipment for your launch and everyone has buoyancy aids or lifejackets for your craft.

Wind/Wing surfing -

Sailing Dinghies -

Sailing dinghies can also be launched from the sailing club Wednesday - Sunday, if you have a large boat or keel boat then their slipway may be more suitable. For further info contact the sailing club direct 01629 540609.

• You must abide by all instructions given by the centre staff
• CSL Management reserve the right to change or suspend activities if they deem it necessary
• Please make sure you have all your own equipment as in busy periods we can not guarantee we will be able to hire equipment out
• Please note that the multi Launch passes are valid for a maximum of 24 month from the date of purchase. This will give our customers at least 2 seasons to use the passes before they expire. 
  

Insurance

Third Party Public Liability Insurance must be acquired prior to launching at Carsington Water.

Third Party insurance for windsurfing / sailing can be obtained from the Royal Yachting Association RYA Membership

Third Party insurance for paddlesports can be obtained from British Canoeing British Canoeing Membership

External Provides

All external Providers need to contact us via email at least 2 weeks prior to date required.

You will need to fill out and supply all necessary documents for all activities to be checked and sign off by centre management

Upon receipt of your email, our bookings team will confirm whether we can cater for your requirements. In most cases we hope to accept your booking and will confirm this via email. If we are unable to cater for your requirements we will try to offer an alternative time/date.

Please note that your activity is not booked until you have received a confirmation via email.
