Beginners Casting Tuition

Introduction to casting with a fly.

An opportunity to learn the basics of casting, knots and entomology under the guidance of a qualified instructor.

Our qualified instructor will provide all equipment for the course - you are welcome to bring your own.

Meet at the fishery lodge at 10am for morning sessions, each session will last approx 2 hours.

The cost is £45 per person, minimum age 12 years. Booking is essential as places are limited, see product below to book your place.

Intro to fly fishing from a boat

Whether you have little or no experience to in fly fishing from a boat. Our 3 hours boat fishing experience sessions will give you a point in the right direction.

Our qualified Game Fishing coach will give an introduction to safe boat driving and boat etiquette. Casting from the boat, fishing at anchor or on the drift plus best of all reading the weather conditions and finding the favoured fishing spot for the day. Hopefully catching a one of our beautiful rainbow trout  to complete your experience. 

We are able to accommodate 2 people in the boat with our coach on each session. You can choose to book this session on a private basis or share the experience with another like minded angler. 

Meet at the fishery lodge at 1.30pm for afternoon sessions, each session will last approx 3 hours.

The cost is £85 per person or £150 for a private 1 to 1 session,  minimum age 16 years.

Intermediate Casting Tuition

Been fishing for a while and want to know how to cast further, cast on windy days and the most useful cast for boat fishing?

Intermediate tuition is for you; to get the most from these sessions you should be able to consistently cast 35-40 feet.

Bring your own tackle for advice on tackle setup for optimal casting.

Our qualified instructor can provide tackle if needed.

Meet at the fishery lodge at 1pm for afternoon sessions, each session will last approx 2 hours. The cost is £50 per person. Booking is essential as places are limited, see product below to book your place.

One to One Tuition

For beginners wanting to learn to boat fish or experienced anglers wishing to raise their skill levels.

A full days guiding on the water with our instructor Chad Critchley - Angling Trust Game Angling Coach Level 2.

The day can be structured according to your needs and can vary from an introduction to fly casting, fishing methods and boat handling for beginners to specialized techniques and advanced casting for experienced anglers.

Tackle provided or use your own.

The cost of a full day of guiding from approx £200
